Salter Grange Limited is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Lead for a major data centre project in Groningen, Netherlands. The role involves taking ownership of the mechanical delivery, coordinating with the Project Manager, engineering, commercial and construction teams, and ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical engineering/construction on large-scale projects.
• Experience leading mechanical works on site and coordinating subcontractors.
• Strong Health & Safety, Quality and project delivery understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the delivery of the Mechanical package on site.
• Oversee day-to-day mechanical site operations and subcontractor activities.
• Drive high standards of Health & Safety and Quality across the Mechanical works.
• Manage the Mechanical QA process, including documentation and project close-out.
• Monitor project progress against the programme and manage labour and subcontractor resources.
• Coordinate closely with the Project Manager, engineering team, commercial team and client.
• Hold regular meetings with subcontractors and monitor performance against programme and manpower requirements.
• Manage snagging, punch lists and the successful completion of Mechanical works.
• Produce weekly progress reports, highlighting project risks, delays and key concerns.
• Monitor project costs, variations, labour, materials, plant and equipment.
• Work closely with the commercial team to ensure variations and associated costs are captured correctly.
• Manage change control and assess the impact of changes on both cost and programme.
• Attend project, planning, coordination and client meetings.
• Ensure all project documentation, including safety and subcontractor documentation, is maintained accurately.
• Support the successful commissioning, handover and close-out of the Mechanical package.
