Job summary

Salter Grange Limited is actively recruiting an experienced Project Director for a major data centre construction project in Eemshaven, Netherlands. You will take overall responsibility for safe, timely and commercially successful delivery, leading a multidisciplinary team and coordinating with the client and senior leadership to meet programme, budget, quality and safety targets.

The role demands strong leadership, client management and communication skills, with a focus on programme delivery

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or recognised trade qualification.
• 7+ years' experience delivering large-scale construction projects with a Main Contractor or General Contractor.
• Proven experience as a Project Director, Senior Project Manager or similar senior leadership role.
• Strong experience managing large multidisciplinary construction teams.
• Previous data centre or mission-critical construction experience is highly advantageous.
• Strong leadership, client management and communication skills.
• Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of programme delivery.
• Ability to work independently and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of a major data centre construction project.
• Manage and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary project team.
• Ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders.
• Chair key project, client and progress meetings.
• Drive a strong EHS and Quality culture across the project.
• Oversee project planning, progress, reporting and programme delivery.
• Work closely with engineering, commercial, design and construction teams.
• Manage subcontractor performance and coordinate project activities.
• Identify risks and opportunities and implement strategies to maintain successful project delivery.
• Set clear expectations and monitor performance against agreed KPIs.
