Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:

• 3rd level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering degree and/or trade background
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a site-based MEP role
• Strong ability to collaborate and work as part of a high-performance team

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure Mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing the health and safety of all stakeholders
• Lead by example and ensure all stakeholders are aware of company-specific health & safety policies and procedures
• Be fully aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies (Lock Out Tag Out)
• Maintain full knowledge of project mechanical systems and monitor system installation for compliance with specifications and schedule
• Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs)
• Conduct site inspections of Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to ensure compliance
• Coordinate that rooms or areas meet CSA and MEP quality standards for advanced beneficial use
• Provide stakeholders with sufficient information to facilitate system installation and progress in line with the master schedule
• Ensure contractors and vendors are adequately resourced to complete works successfully
• Review the master construction schedule to optimize sequencing and focus on work faces for Mechanical and CSA scope
• Chair and participate in onsite and offsite meetings with project stakeholders
• Issue weekly progress and cost reports as required
• Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower
• Ensure system mechanical stakeholders produce necessary documentation such as construction and commissioning programs, work execution trackers, risk assessments, progress reports, and handover packs
