Job summary

ALTEN is recruiting for a Mechanical Integration and Assembly Technician to join the Portsmouth team, supporting aerospace systems with on-site assembly and integration. The role covers AM/PM shifts and is suitable for junior technicians eager to develop their skills.

You'll follow drawings, manuals, and technical instructions while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure correct installation and progress reporting. A clearable status is required for security considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.
• Proven experience in mechanical integration or assembly, ideally within aerospace or high-precision manufacturing environments.
• Ability to follow technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Job Description

As a Mechanical Integration and Assembly Technician you will join our Portsmouth team to support our activities within the Space sector.

You will be responsible for the mechanical integration and assembly of aerospace systems, supporting AIT (Assembly, Integration & Test) activities. The role is on-site full-time, across AM/PM shifts, and is suitable for junior technicians who are competent and eager to develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical integration and assembly of aerospace systems
• Support AIT (Assembly, Integration & Test) activities
