Job summary

A global engineering and technology consultancy is seeking a Mechanical Integration and Assembly Engineer to join their Portsmouth team. This full-time on-site role involves mechanical integration and assembly for aerospace systems, ideal for junior technicians eager to develop their skills. Responsibilities include following technical drawings, collaborating with diverse teams, and reporting progress on assembly tasks. Successful candidates will hold a relevant degree or military equivalent, and experience in aerospace or high-precision environments is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in mechanical integration or assembly, ideally within aerospace or high-precision manufacturing environments.
  • Willingness to work on-site full-time across AM/PM shifts.
  • Familiarity with AIT processes and aerospace standards.
  • Experience in component installation, jigs, or tooling.
  • Knowledge of inspection and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical integration and assembly of aerospace systems.
  • Follow engineering drawings, manuals, and technical instructions accurately.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure components are installed correctly.
  • Report and document assembly progress and any technical issues.

As a Mechanical Integration and Assembly Technician you will join our Portsmouth team to support our activities within the space sector.

You will be responsible for the mechanical integration and assembly of aerospace systems, supporting AIT (Assembly, Integration & Test) activities. The role is on‑site full‑time, across AM/PM shifts, and is suitable for junior technicians who are competent and eager to develop their skills.
