Job summary

MGroup Water, part of M Group, is seeking engineers to support its water infra projects. You will handle mechanical installations, including pipework and rotating equipment, with opportunities to mentor apprentices on site and contribute to safety and quality standards.

The role involves installing new package plants, removing old equipment, and performing site investigations. You may work at height or in confined spaces, with training provided where needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience with mechanical installations including pipework and rotating machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical general arrangement and assembly drawings.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team and mentor junior engineers.
  • Full UK driving licence is required and training will be provided for any missing qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a range of mechanical installations, including pipework and rotating machinery.
  • Install new package plant, remove old equipment, and carry out site investigations to assess faults or plan new installations.
  • Occasionally work at height or in confined spaces, ensuring safety on site.
  • Create risk assessments and method statements to support safe, well‑planned work.
  • Guide and mentor apprentices or junior engineers to maintain high safety and quality standards on site.
