Ernest Gordon Recruitment is partnering with a Glasgow-based manufacturer to recruit a Mechanical Fitter for a days-based, permanent role. You will read drawings, assemble, test and finish components for water industry equipment in a close-knit workshop environment.

Mechanical Fitter (Workshop Based)

£35,000 - £40,000 + Optional Overtime (OTE 50k) + 35 Hours a Week + Monday to Friday + Days Based + Private Medical + 32 Days Holiday

Are you a Mechanical Fitter who can read engineering drawings, looking to join a close-knit and family-feel workshop, with a great work-life balance doing 35 hours a week with an early finish every Friday?

In this days-based, Monday to Friday role you will be reading drawings to prepare, assemble, and test a range of industrial equipment for use in the water industry. You will be trained on using a guillotine and press brake, along with welding and fabricating, working in a close-knit team of 8.

Founded 20 years ago this manufacturer have received heavy investment in recent years, with plans to double their turnover in the next 2 years. They supply their niche products into the water industry and are becoming market-leaders in their field.

This role would suit a Mechanical Fitter looking to settle long-term in a company they will be proud to work for, with great hours and optional overtime if they want.
