Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Fitter for a shift-friendly, workshop-based role in Glasgow. You will read engineering drawings to prepare, assemble, and test a range of industrial equipment for the water sector, with on-site installation support as required.

The position offers a days-based pattern, a 35-hour week, and optional overtime (OTE up to £50k). Private medical and 32 days' holiday are included in the package. This is a permanent role with long-term career potential.

Formación

Are you a Mechanical Fitter who can read engineering drawings, looking to join a close-knit and family-feel workshop, with a great work-life balance doing 35 hours a week with an early finish every Friday?

Are you looking for a long-term, permanent, and stable role, within a growing manufacturer who will look after you for your career?

In this days-based, Monday to Friday role you will be reading drawings to prepare, assemble, and test a range of industrial equipment for use in the water industry. You will be trained on using a guillotine and press brake, along with welding and fabricating, working in a close-knit team of 8.

Founded 20 years ago this manufacturer have received heavy investment in recent years, with plans to double their turnover in the next 2 years. They supply their niche products into the water industry and are becoming market-leaders in their field.

This role would suit a Mechanical Fitter looking to settle long-term in a company they will be proud to work for, with great hours and optional overtime if they want.

The Role:

• Preparing, assembling, and testing mechanical parts and equipment
• Reading engineering drawings and using hand tools
• Using guillotine press brake, and welding
• Going to sites to help with installations
• Monday to Thursday 8am - 4pm, finish at 1pm on Friday, 35 hours a week
