Job summary

Fisher Group Limited is recruiting a Mechanical Fitter to install, maintain and refurbish mechanical equipment and pipework on infrastructure projects in Kent. You will read drawings and work from specifications, preparing tools and materials to meet quality standards while adhering to safety procedures.

You will collaborate with supervisors, engineers and other trades to deliver project work and bring practical, safety-conscious approach to every task.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Mechanical Fitter in construction, engineering, utilities or similar.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work instructions.
• Safety-conscious with a practical approach and focus on quality.
• A mechanical engineering qualification or apprenticeship is advantageous.
• Water, wastewater or utilities sector experience is beneficial.

Fisher Group Limited is recruiting a Mechanical Fitter on behalf of an established Kent-based contractor working across civil and mechanical engineering, utilities and the water sector.

You ll carry out mechanical installation, maintenance and refurbishment work on infrastructure projects. Depending on the project, this may include pipework, pumps, valves and associated equipment.

The role

• Install, maintain and repair mechanical equipment and pipework.
• Read and work from engineering drawings, specifications and job instructions.
• Prepare tools and materials and complete work to the required quality standard.
• Follow site health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Work alongside supervisors, engineers and other trades to deliver project work.

About you

• You have relevant experience as a Mechanical Fitter in construction, engineering, utilities or a similar environment.
• You can follow technical drawings and work instructions.
• You take a practical, safety-conscious approach and care about the quality of your work.
• A relevant mechanical engineering qualification or apprenticeship would be advantageous.
• Water, wastewater or utilities experience and relevant site training would be beneficial.
