Job summary

WES is expanding its Site Services team and seeks a Mechanical Fitter for UK-wide projects. You’ll install, upgrade and refurbish chemical dosing systems and associated process equipment, traveling as required with accommodation and travel arranged by WES.

Ideal candidates hold an NVQ/apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or pipefitting and have hands-on plastics experience. A UK driving licence is essential and safety standards are a priority.

Qualifications

• A mechanical installer with plastics experience and piping knowledge.
• Understanding of Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety processes.
• Water industry experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission mechanical equipment including chemical dosing systems.
• Fabricate and assemble PVC-U, PP, PE and PVDF pipework and supports.
• Read drawings and P&IDs, perform pressure tests and inspections.
• Assist other disciplines to deliver safe, on-time projects.
• Maintain site documentation and communicate with supervisors and clients.
• Travel across the UK with accommodation and travel arranged by WES.
