Job summary

SGS UK Ltd is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Fitter in Immingham. The role combines workshop and site work, with a 40-hour week (8am-4:30pm) and a salary of £28k-£36k DOE plus bonus and private healthcare.

You will maintain, repair and overhaul industrial valves across multiple industries, working with an experienced team in a global business. Applicants should have a mechanical fitting or engineering background, a valid UK driving licence, and a forklift licence.

Qualifications

• This could suit candidates from a wide range of engineering backgrounds, including manufacturing, maintenance, plant, heavy industry, oil & gas, utilities, power generation or similar sectors.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out valve maintenance, repairs and overhauls.
• Supporting testing, certification and inspection activities.
• Working safely and following industry and company standards.
• Completing job paperwork and quality documentation.
• Supporting the team to deliver high-quality service to customers.
