Job summary

First Military Recruitment are seeking a Fitter in Abingdon to support mechanical engineering services and the delivery of mechanical projects. You will assist in maintenance, assembly and related technical tasks with a strong emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Applicants should have an recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent, be able to read assembly drawings, and contribute to QA documentation. Experience with written Safe System of Work/method statements is desirable, and good

Qualifications

• Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent with engineering qualification.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings.
• Experience with QA activities and documentation.
• Experience under Written Safe System of Work / Method Statements.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, improve and modify components as directed by mechanical technicians.
• Assemble and prepare components following documentation and drawings.
• Work to high accuracy, follow process docs and perform technical tasks.
• Carry out a wide range of hands-on duties with minimal supervision.
• Liaise with other teams to progress tasks.
• Document processes and procedures for maintenance, installation and testing.
• Promote company values and inclusive culture.
• Perform other reasonable tasks as directed by your manager.
