Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for an ASRS installation in Milton Keynes. You will work on a 4-way pallet shuttle system with racking, shuttle rails and related equipment, on a 12-hour night shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Applicants should have industrial installation experience, the ability to read mechanical drawings, and proficiency with hand and power tools. CSCS card is essential and location is Milton Keynes.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS card is essential.
• Experience as Mechanical Fitter or Mechanical Installer in industrial projects.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
• Confident using hand and power tools.
• Experience with alignment, levelling, and assembly.

Responsibilities

• Mechanically install and assemble ASRS racking structures.
• Install shuttle rails, supports, brackets and related components.
• Set out, level and align mechanical equipment.
• Drill, anchor and secure structural components.
• Follow drawings and installation instructions.
• Assist with positioning and installation of equipment.
• Perform installation checks and fix snags.
• Work safely with the installation team to meet deadlines.

Mechanical Fitters Required - Night Shifts - Milton Keynes

£30.00 per hour | On-Going Contract | Start 19th October 2026

Proactive Global are looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters for an upcoming ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System) installation project in Milton Keynes.

The project involves the installation of a 4-way pallet shuttle system, including racking structures, shuttle rails and associated mechanical equipment.

We are looking for experienced fitters with a background in industrial mechanical installations, ideally within warehouse automation, conveyor systems or pallet racking.

Job Details

• Location: Milton Keynes
• Start Date: Monday 19th October 2026
• Working Days: Monday to Friday
• Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Rate: £25.00 per hour Umbrella

Duties Will Include

• Mechanical installation and assembly of ASRS racking structures.
• Installation of shuttle rails, supports, brackets and associated components.
• Setting out, levelling and alignment of mechanical equipment.
• Drilling, anchoring and securing structural components.
• Working from mechanical drawings and installation instructions.
• Assisting with the positioning and installation of equipment.
• Carrying out installation checks and rectifying snags.
• Working safely alongside the installation team to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• Valid CSCS card - essential.
• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Mechanical Installer.
• Experience working on industrial installation projects.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
• Confident using hand tools, power tools and installation equipment.
• Experience with mechanical alignment, levelling and assembly.
