Job summary

Questech Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to assemble machinery to a high quality standard. The role requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, and experience with bespoke machinery building.

Proficiency in Excel and Word is expected. Responsibilities include assembling varied machinery parts, interpreting drawings and BOMs, ensuring quality checks, and training apprentices.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience as a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Engineer / Assembly Operative.
• Advanced NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering.
• Bespoke Machine / Special Purpose Machinery building experience preferred.
• Computer skills in Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• The mechanical assembly of a wide variety of machinery parts
• Read and interpret mechanical assembly drawings, BOMs and specifications; confirm quality checks have been completed
• Providing training, guidance, and support to apprentices and other members of the assembly team to increase their skills and knowledge base
• Support the integration of new product lines being adopted

Job description

Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer, they are looking for a skilled Mechanical Assembler / Mechanical Assembly Operative / Mechanical Fitter to mechanically assemble their manufactured machinery to a high quality standard.

Salary: £18.04 per hour + Overtime at x1.5

Hours of work: 40 hours a week, 8.00am - 4.00pm, Monday to Friday

PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

• At least 3 years' experience as a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Engineer / Assembly Operative, preferably in an Engineering background
• Advanced NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject, or Apprentice trained
• Bespoke Machine / Special Purpose Machinery building experience will be favoured, however other industries building bespoke capital equipment will also be considered
• Computer skills in Excel and Word
