Job summary

Morson Group is recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to support a world-leading client in the UK, focusing on maintenance and repair of plant and hydraulic systems.

Bearing a minimum of 5 years in heavy industry, you should hold Level 3 NVQ in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), be capable of diagnosing hydraulic faults, have some electrical awareness, and be able to read drawings. A UK driving licence is essential and tools are your responsibility.

Qualifications

• Min 5 years experience in heavy industry.
• Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems.
• Understanding of electrical systems and safe isolations.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with cranes or heavy plant preferred.
• MEWPS NPORS license or equivalent advantageous.
• Must provide own tools.
• Full UK driving license.
• Pass police check and BPSS clearance (UK/EU nationals).

Job description

Our World leading client has opportunities available for self-motivated Mechanical Fitters, ideally with experience of maintaining and repairing plant and hydraulic systems.

Requirements:

Min 5 years exp working around heavy industry.
Min Level 3 NVQ or similar in Mechanical engineering discipline (preferred HNC / Apprenticeship).
Proven experience of working with (diagnostics and repair of) hydraulic systems.
Some understanding of electrical systems and safe isolations.
Able to read technical drawings and schematics.
Ideally have recent experience of working on cranes and / or heavy plant
MEWPS License NPORS or equivalent would be advantageous
Must provide their own tools – specialist OEM tools will be provided.
Full UK driving license.

Applicants must be able to pass a police check and obtain BPSS security clearance (so will need to be UK / EU nationals).
