Job summary

Ambitek Limited is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter for projects based around Birkenhead. The role involves both planned and reactive maintenance on large heavy machinery. You should be time-served with NVQ Level 3 and be able to work independently or as part of a team in a busy industrial setting.

Applicants must pass a mechanical theory test and have a solid understanding of health and safety procedures. This IR35-rated position is paid PAYE with weekly pay and a contributory pension.

Job description

Due to new contracts, our client based in Birkenhead is looking to recruit experienced Mechanical Fitters to work across several exciting projects.

Ideally, candidates will be time-served and have previous experience working on large, heavy industrial machinery.

The role will involve both planned and reactive maintenance, so candidates must be confident working in a busy industrial environment and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Rates of Pay - PAYE Only

• Basic Rate: £21.51 per hour
• Overtime 1: £32.27 per hour
• Overtime 2: £43.02 per hour

Package Includes

• Time and a half overtime during the week & Saturdays
• Double time on Sundays.
• Weekly pay.
• Contributory pension.
• 25 days' holiday plus 8 bank holidays, accrued hourly.

Essential Requirements

• Time-served Mechanical Fitter NVQ Level 3
• Experience working with large, heavy industrial machinery.
• Experience in planned and reactive maintenance.
• Must successfully complete a mechanical theory test before being offered a start.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.

Important Information

This role falls within IR35, therefore PAYE is the only payment method available.
