Role Overview

As a Mechanical Craftsman, you will maximize plant efficiency while maintaining plant assets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage mechanical maintenance for process and support equipment to ensure plant availability and production capability.
2. Coordinate maintenance activities within your area.
3. Work closely with supervisors and managers.
4. Allocate parts and prioritize work to optimize engineering resources.
5. Perform regular testing and maintenance of mechanical services and standby equipment.
6. Improve operational efficiency of your designated plant area.
7. Proactively manage spare parts assets.
8. Enforce safety practices and maintain a safe working environment.
9. Execute mechanical maintenance routines.
10. Ensure correct stocking of spare parts.
11. Implement innovations and engage in plant continuous improvement activities.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in mechanical maintenance in heavy, continuous manufacturing processes.
• Time-served apprentice or ONC/HNC qualifications.
• Knowledge of materials handling, pneumatics, hydraulics, and sub-assembly builds.
• Effective management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of SAP PM (preferred).
