Job summary

Holt-Recruitment is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter for a workshop-based role near Witham. This position suits candidates with a background in HGV or plant maintenance and welding/fabrication experience.

You will inspect lorries and plant machinery, carry out defect rectification and mechanical repairs, and perform fabrication tasks, including welding and metalwork, all while maintaining high safety and quality standards. A 39-hour week with plenty of overtime is on offer.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with HGVs, plant, or similar heavy vehicles.
• Fabrication/welding experience is essential.
• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs confidently.
• Team player with a strong work ethic.

We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established team based near Witham. This is a workshop-based role, ideal for candidates with a background in HGV or plant maintenance. Will include machine inspections & repair, welding / fabrication experience required also.
