A leading equipment manufacturing company in Welwyn seeks a Mechanical Fitter to join their team. The role involves mechanical assembly across several industrial sectors, ensuring adherence to safety and operational procedures while interpreting engineering diagrams. Ideal candidates will have a strong mechanical/electromechanical apprenticeship or equivalent experience, as well as expertise in precision fitting and pneumatic systems. This position offers a competitive salary ranging from £30k to £40k per year, alongside an attractive benefits package including 22 days of annual leave and a pension scheme.

Overview

The company was established in 2007 and has grown over the years to become a full design solution and bespoke equipment manufacturer. Their customers are based both in the UK and overseas, and they provide services to the Material processing, Automotive, Pharmaceutical, logistics, aerospace, and Defence industries.

Responsibilities

As the Mechanical Fitter, you will be involved in the mechanical assembly of a broad range of equipment for multiple industrial sectors. You will need to comply with operational, safety, and maintenance procedures while also being able to understand engineering diagrams, blueprints, and drawings.

Qualifications

• Mechanical/Electromechanical Apprenticeship or relevant experience
• Previous experience building special-purpose machinery and automated equipment
• Knowledge of Pneumatic Systems
• Experience with precision fitting and assembly
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and work instructions
• To comply with all health and safety procedures

Benefits & Compensation

• Base salary between £30k to £40k doe
• 40 hours a week (07.30 to 16.00)
• 22 days annual leave bank holidays
