VA Technology Ltd is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Fitter to join our systems-assembly department. You will build automated machinery to detailed drawings and lead a small team of fitters, with a strong focus on task management and quality checks.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical fitter with ability to assemble to detailed engineering drawings.
• Experience guiding a small team of fitters.
• Involvement in task management and QA inspections.

Responsibilities

• Assembling and building automated machinery and equipment to detailed engineering drawings
• Provide guidance and instruction within a team of mechanical fitters
• To be actively involved in task management.
• Leading small mechanical teams
• Extensive use of a range of power and hand tools to assemble the parts
• Carrying out testing, fault finding and diagnostics inspections of the build to ensure everything meets our high standards
• Working effectively both independently and as part of a close-knit team
• The role will involve travel to customer sites both in the UK and overseas, therefore a valid passport and the ability to travel is an essential requirement of the role.
