Job summary

Scantec is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join a long-term nuclear project in Reading.

The role involves mechanical decommissioning and deplanting, including dismantling and preparing redundant plant and equipment within a highly regulated nuclear environment. Rates start at £32.00/hr local or £37.00/hr travellers with CIS, depending on assignment.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card or CCNSG Safety Passport required.
• SC Clearance required.
• Willingness to undergo DV clearance.

Job description

Location: AWE, Reading
Start Date: 5th October
Duration: 6 months minimum, with potential to extend
Rate: £32.00/hr CIS – Local | £37.00/hr CIS – Travellers (50 mile radius)
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid break
Paid Hours: 38 hours per week
