Job Details

• Type: Permanent
• Salary: Excellent starting salary
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7.30am - 4.00pm, with an earlier finish on Friday

About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Fitter for a specialist engineering company based in Poole. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for stripping down and rebuilding special purpose mechanical products and parts.

This role is ideal for individuals with excellent mechanical assembly and fitting skills, who have an interest in engineering or mechanical work. You will work within a busy team in a company that values its staff, expanding to meet customer demands and new orders for their precision-engineered products.

Key Duties

1. Fitting to tight tolerances
2. Stripping and rebuilding products and parts
3. Inspecting components during rebuilds and repairing/replacing as needed
4. Working according to drawings and specifications
5. Adhering to company, client processes, and regulatory requirements

Candidate Requirements

• Mechanical engineering or fitting experience
• Ability to work from drawings and work instructions
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
