Mechanical Fitter (Training into CNC Maintenance)

£30,000 - £40,000 + Training + Workshop based with some travel + Progression + Overtime + Pension + Holiday

Commutable from Lymington, Southampton, Bournemouth, Ferndown, Fordingbridge, Verwood, Christchurch, and surrounding areas

Are you a Mechanical Fitter, Service Engineer, Machine Tool Fitter, or similar looking to join a growing business that will invest in your full industry training to develop you into the machine tool industry? This role offers variety, good earnings, potential overtime, and career progression opportunities.

Join a close-knit family business providing machinery and machine tools to clients across the UK and internationally. The role involves working in the workshop and occasionally in the field, with full industry training to help you succeed and maximize earnings through overtime.

The role involves installation, maintenance, and servicing of various machine tools, including CNC machines. The position is split between workshop (about 75%) and field work (about 25%), with occasional travel.

The ideal candidate will be a multi-skilled engineer comfortable in both workshop and field settings. Experience with Machine Tools or CNC is beneficial but not required.

Role details:

• Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (early finish at 3:00 pm on Friday)
• Primarily workshop-based with some field work and travel
• Maintenance and servicing of machine tools

Candidate requirements:

• Mechanical experience (electrical experience is a plus)
• Machine Tool/CNC experience is beneficial but not essential
• Full UK Driver's license
