Mechanical Fitter x4

Salary: £32,500 - £40,000

Experience / Background Required:

• Time-served Apprenticeship & proven mechanical fitting/production experience in an engineering environment.
• Able to read technical drawings.
• High levels of attention to detail.
• Positive approach to customer service.
• Good workload management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including good spoken and written communication.
• Adequate physical fitness, mobility, and dexterity for fitting and customer training.

The Role of Mechanical Fitter:

• Prepare, fit, and repair component parts and equipment, including all aspects of metalwork, hand/power tools, and typical workshop equipment.
• Maintain departmental tools, ensuring they are in good repair and receive regular maintenance.
• Manage individually assigned workload, working with the departmental team leader to meet production targets.
• Ownership of production quality checks before distribution or progression to another department.
• React quickly to changing demands and re-prioritize workload as required based on production and sales information.
