Job summary

Coolfreeze is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Fitter to join their Trafford Park team in Manchester. You will read engineering drawings, work from works orders, and install insulated panels on commercial freezer bodies while complying with safety standards.

Full training provided. 44-hour week with early starts from 07:00, and flexibility if required. This role offers bonus opportunities and a chance to work with a respected bodybuilding/coachbuilder company.

• Experience as a Mechanical Fitter in manufacturing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings from works orders.
• Skilled with hand tools and measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings and work from works orders.
• Install insulated panels on commercial freezer bodies.
• Electrically terminate lighting, switches and tail lifts.
• Seal joints, floors and roofs with silicone and gel coatings.
• Cut metals, wood and plastics using hand tools and bench equipment.
• Carry out safe housekeeping and keep work areas clean.

Mechanical Fitter - Trafford Park, Manchester
Up to £15.60 per hour. Bonus opportunities available.
44 hours: 07:00-16:30, Monday to Thursday and 07:00-15:30 on Friday. Flexibility is given if required.

Coolfreeze is looking for a dedicated, experienced, and knowledgeable Mechanical Fitter to join their new team; someone who is passionate about engaging with their values and delivering quality service levels for customers. Full training will be provided to support your learning.

Day to day, you will be:

• Working independently and on own initiative to achieve timelines and standards.
• Read engineering drawings provided and work from works orders.
• Experience in using hand tools, bench saws and measurement equipment. Using them all safely.
• Installing insulated panels on commercial freezer bodies
• Electrically terminating lighting, switches and tail lifts
• Sealing joints, floors and roofs with silicone and gel coatings.
• Cutting of metals, woods and plastics using hand tools and bench equipment.
• Ensure standards of good housekeeping are achieved in all work areas, including workshops, vehicles and at onsite locations.
• Carry out any other reasonable projects, tasks, or duties to support the business as directed by management.
• Ensuring compliance with company H&S, maintenance procedures & quality control to work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others
• Ensure good personal time keeping and conduct in line with agreed policies and procedures.
• Ensure all safety, regulatory, rules and Company changes/alterations to working practices are adhered to.
