Job summary

KBM Resourcing are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a busy workshop team in Kintore. This role suits someone with a mechanical background who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced engineering environment.

You will inspect, maintain, repair, assemble and test a range of mechanical equipment, ensuring assets are serviced, compliant and ready for operational use, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical or Maintenance Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Experience in a mechanical fitting or workshop environment.
  • Good understanding of mechanical maintenance and fault finding.
  • Strong Health & Safety awareness.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Dismantle, inspect, repair, refurbish and reassemble equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
  • Complete routine servicing, preventative maintenance and testing.
  • Carry out pressure testing and functional checks as required.
  • Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
  • Support mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment.
  • Safely operate workshop tools, machinery and lifting equipment.
  • Assist with general workshop duties including loading/unloading equipment.
  • Support stores and stock control activities when required.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards in the workshop.
  • Work in line with company procedures and Health & Safety requirements.

Mechanical Fitter

KBM Resourcing are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a busy workshop team in Kintore. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a mechanical background who enjoys hands on work in a fast-paced engineering environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, assembling and testing a range of mechanical equipment, ensuring all assets are serviced, compliant and ready for operational use.

Key Responsibilities

About You
  • NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical or Maintenance Engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • Previous experience in a mechanical fitting or workshop environment.
  • Good understanding of mechanical maintenance and fault finding.
  • Strong awareness of Health & Safety practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Forklift licence desirable but not essential.
