About Your Role:

UGL’s Transport - Manufacturing & Maintenance business are on the search for a high performing and dedicated Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) or Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) Mechanical Fitter.

Reporting the Service Delivery Manager, the role will be based at our Bayswater Maintenance Facility, The position will be offered as permanent full-time, you will be required to work a Monday to Friday roster - 6:00am to 2:30pm, with opportunities for overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Disassembling, inspecting, requalifying and assembling HME/OHV wheel motors
• Measuring and inspecting critical journals and key components
• Cleaning and conducting requalification inspections on bearings, gears, and other mechanical parts
• Collaborating effectively within a supportive team that values diversity and differing perspectives
• Participating actively in maintaining a safe and inclusive work environment
• Promoting UGL’s One HSE culture of prioritising safety, health, and environmental sustainability

About You:

• Trade qualification in mechanical, such as Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic or Mechanical Fitter
• Experience in HME maintenance (Komatsu 930, 830, 730, CAT MT4400) or component overhauls (wheel motors, alternators, traction motors, gearboxes, hoists, spindles).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to continuous learning
• Experience with industrial gearboxes, brakes, wheel motors ispreferred
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Valid driver’s licence Australian Working Rights
