Job summary

Kraken Works Limited seeks an Electrical Technician to join a skilled production team for installing, integrating, testing, and maintaining advanced electrical systems on autonomous maritime platforms.

You will work in a fast-paced engineering environment, contributing to bringing innovative products from concept to reality, ensuring vessels are built, tested, and delivered to high standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong hands-on electrical installation, maintenance, and fault-finding experience.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical installation, modification, maintenance and repair activities.
  • Support vessel build, integration, commissioning and testing programmes.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults and technical issues.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and build documentation.

Job description

As an Electrical Technician, you'll join a highly skilled production team responsible for installing, integrating, maintaining, and testing advanced electrical systems across our autonomous maritime platforms.

Working in a fast-paced engineering environment, you'll play a key role in bringing innovative products from concept to reality, ensuring our vessels are built, tested, and delivered to the highest standards.

  • Perform electrical installation, modification, maintenance, and repair activities
  • Support vessel build, integration, commissioning, and testing programmes
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults and technical issues
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance activities
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Collaborate with mechanical, engineering, operations, and quality teams to achieve programme milestones
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and build documentation
  • Ensure all electrical work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with relevant standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across production and engineering activities
  • Recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Strong hands-on electrical installation, maintenance, and fault-finding experience
  • Understanding of electrical systems, tools, and engineering standards
  • Experience working within marine engineering environments
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic capability
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Boat building or marine industry experience
  • Low-voltage DC electrical systems experience
  • Electrical integration and commissioning experience
  • Prototype or low-volume production experience
  • Experience operating within regulated engineering environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
