Mechanical Fitter - welding, hydraulics, mechanical, electrical - Depot based in the Enfield area of North London, salary up to £40,000 plus overtime and company van!

Due to continued success and further expansion this company is now looking to employ an additional mechanical fitter for their depot based in the North London area. If you have previous mechanical/hands on skills, welding skills and are familiar with the use of and repair of small tools or plant, then this could be a great opportunity for someone looking to improve their skillset with additional training provided on specialist equipment.

The Job Role of a Mechanical Fitter

• You will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and repairs to a range of plant/attachments at the depot
• Carry out site breakdowns of excavator equipment/attachments when required
• You will carry out installation, maintenance, repairs and servicing to a range of plant equipment/attachments
• You will ensure that your vehicle is kept maintained and any faults or defects are reported immediately upon inspection.

To Be Successful as a Mechanical Fitter

• You will have previous experience within the plant hire industry and have welding experience along with basic electrical/hydraulic/mechanical knowledge
• Experience working in a team environment assisting with the smooth running of a busy depot
• No more than 6 endorsements on your license will be considered for this role.
• Previous experience as a plant fitter, plant engineer, plant attachment engineer, hydraulic engineer, hydraulic technician, service engineer, or service technician.
