Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions are currently hiring a skilled Mechanical Fitter/Pipefitter for our facilities management client in Cramlington. You will work on-site across pipework, mechanical fitting and maintenance, with an emphasis on installing and repairing pumps, boilers, HVAC systems and related equipment.

The role is permanent and full-time, with core hours Monday to Friday, on-call rota, and benefits including 25 days leave plus bank holidays and a pension.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within mechanical fitting, pipefitting, pipework, plumbing or mechanical maintenance.
• Strong practical and hands-on mechanical skills.
• Experience working with mechanical systems, pipework, pumps, valves and associated equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ideally qualified to Level 3 City & Guilds/NVQ in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, Plumbing or a related discipline.
• Experience within an industrial, manufacturing, FMCG or facilities management environment would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across the site.
• Install, maintain and repair various types of pipework and mechanical systems.
• Carry out mechanical fitting, modifications and installation works.
• Work on pumps, valves, boilers, HVAC systems, compressors, water systems and associated mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose faults and identify effective solutions to minimise equipment downtime.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
• Ensure all mechanical works are completed safely and in line with relevant standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency maintenance requirements.
• Work closely with the wider engineering and facilities management team.

Site based Mechanical Fitter/Pipefitter - Cramlington - Global Facilities Management Organisation: FMCG

CBW Staffing Solutions are currently hiring for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter / Pipefitter for our facilities management client's on-site team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pipework, mechanical fitting, installation or mechanical maintenance, with a practical and hands-on approach to problem-solving.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has worked within mechanical fitting, pipefitting, plumbing, industrial maintenance or mechanical installation and is looking to utilise their existing skills within a large FMCG environment.

This is a permanent and full time position, site based in the Cramlington area.

Package

• Competitive salary between £40,000 - £43,000 per annum (depending on experience)
