Our client are experts in the design, manufacture, and deployment of advanced technologies that positively impact the built environment. They are looking for several Mechanical Fitters for an MOD project in Chester. The duties will include:

1. Steelwork erecting and fitting large steel panels
2. Operating hand and machine tools safely and responsibly
3. Selecting correct materials and equipment

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Fitting
• Ability to read and follow CAD drawings
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with safety procedures and PPE use
• Physically fit and capable of manual work, lifting, and standing for extended periods

Desirable:

• Experience working with large mechanical assembly projects
• Welding or fabrication skills
• Forklift or crane license
• CSCS or equivalent safety card (for construction roles)
• MOD Security clearance
