Job summary

AES in the West Midlands is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to assemble and develop feed systems and special purpose machinery in line with design specifications. You will install pneumatic components, and travel to customer sites for installation and commissioning.

The role requires an HNC/HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) and experience in a mechanical build/assembly environment. You will be self-motivated, communicative, and a good team player.

Qualifications

• A Mechanical engineering background is preferred.
• Experience in mechanical build/assembly environments.
• Evidence of pro-active approach and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Mechanically assemble machinery to general arrangement drawings.
• Install and plumb pneumatic elements of machinery.
• Attend customer site for installation, commissioning and service visits.

The Company: Our Client is an innovative Multi-Disciplined Design & Engineering Lead provider of automation engineering services and solutions across a wide range of industries,

Due to sustained continued expansion, they now require a Mechanical Fitter to build and functionally develop feed systems and special purpose machinery within agreed timeframes to design specification.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Mechanically assemble machinery to general arrangement drawings.
• Install and plumb pneumatic elements of machinery.
• Attend customer site for installation, commissioning and/or service visits when required.

The Person: Candidates suitable for consideration should be able to provide evidence of the following:

• A HNC / HND / Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
• Experience of working in a mechanical build/assembly environment.

You will be self motivated, have excellent communication skills both written and oral, be computer literate, and able to work as part of a team.

The successful candidate will enjoy a salary of £35,000 to £42,000 plus excellent prospects and an employment package that you would expect from a company that values its employees.
