Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Mechanical Estimator (Building Services) in Manchester. The role involves preparing mechanical estimates, managing tenders from enquiry through to handover, and producing detailed take-offs for multi-million pound MEP projects.

You will work with Trimble or similar software, secure quotations, and identify value engineering opportunities, with a clear path to progression within a growing team. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Experience in producing mechanical estimates and tender submissions.
• Exposure to Building Services / MEP projects is essential.
• Familiarity with Trimble or similar estimation software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical estimates and manage tenders from enquiry to handover.
• Produce detailed take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations and identify value engineering opportunities.
