Job summary

Elite Hire Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Estimator in Wolverhampton to join a reputable family-run contractor. You will prepare tenders for commercial and industrial projects up to £5m, review drawings and tender docs, and produce accurate cost estimates to secure profitable contracts.

The role offers a permanent position within a stable team, with progression opportunities and exposure to high-value projects.

Qualifications

• Background in Mechanical Building Services Estimating.
• Experience pricing commercial and/or industrial projects.
• Open to Assistant, Intermediate, or Senior level candidates.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tenders.

Responsibilities

• Preparing mechanical cost estimates for commercial and industrial projects.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
• Producing take-offs, material pricing, and labour allowances.
• Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identifying risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost savings.
• Supporting handover to delivery teams upon project award.
• Working closely with Directors, Contracts Managers, and the wider pre-construction team.

Mechanical Estimator

Commercial & Industrial Projects | Up to £5m

A well-established, family-run Mechanical & Electrical contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their pre-construction team.

The business delivers large commercial and industrial projects across the UK, with individual project values up to £5 million. Due to continued growth and a strong tender pipeline, they are open to Estimators at all levels, from Assistant through to Senior.

The Role:

You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive mechanical tenders, supporting the business in securing profitable work across a range of sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing mechanical cost estimates for commercial and industrial projects
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
• Producing take-offs, material pricing, and labour allowances
• Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Identifying risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost savings
