Job summary

Russell Taylor Group Ltd in Manchester is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to price a range of projects for an established M&E contractor. You will price from specifications, drawings and tender documentation, and produce competitive tenders from blank or partly developed designs.

The role focuses on accommodation-based schemes but requires flexibility to price other projects. You will review designs for gaps, cost labour, materials, plant and subcontractors, and liaise with clients

Qualifications

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join an established M&E contractor based in Manchester.

The majority of the company's workload is accommodation-based projects, although the successful candidate will also need to be flexible and confident pricing a variety of other schemes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Mechanical Estimator with strong technical knowledge and experience in Design & Build projects, who can produce accurate, comprehensive and competitive tenders from both developed and partially developed designs.

The Role

About You

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the M&E / building services sector.
• Strong experience pricing Design & Build projects.
• The ability to price from specifications, detailed drawings and blank or incomplete designs.
• Confidence identifying design gaps, making reasonable assumptions and building up a comprehensive cost.
• Experience working on accommodation-based projects, with the flexibility to price other types of schemes.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services, including HVAC, heating, ventilation, pipework and plumbing.
• Excellent commercial awareness, attention to detail and analytical skills.
• The ability to manage multiple tenders and work to tight deadlines.
