Job summary

A senior Mechanical Estimating Manager role is available with a leading MEP contractor. The position involves taking ownership of the mechanical estimating function for major projects and leading tenders from enquiry to handover, with responsibility for tender strategy and commercial risk management.

Remit includes building and leading a Mechanical Estimating team, managing relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and clients, and identifying value engineering opportunities.

Are you a senior Mechanical Estimator or Estimating Manager from a Building Services background looking to take ownership of a growing estimating function, build a team around you and play a key role in the continued expansion of a leading MEP contractor?

This long-established building services company has seen continued success and growth since its establishment in 1963. Specialising in large, complex MEP engineering projects across the Commercial, Healthcare, Education, Life Sciences, Heritage, Hospitality and Residential sectors, the business delivers multi-million-pound projects throughout the UK and Ireland. With ambitious growth plans across the UK, they are now looking to appoint a senior Mechanical Estimating Manager to lead and develop their estimating capability.

In this role, you will take ownership of the mechanical estimating function, overseeing high-value tenders from initial enquiry through to submission and handover. You will develop tender strategies, review estimates, manage key supplier and subcontractor relationships and identify commercial risks and value engineering opportunities across complex MEP projects.

This role would suit a Senior Mechanical Estimator or similar from a Building Services / MEP background looking for a highly autonomous position with the opportunity to build and lead their own team, work on major multi-million-pound projects and play a key role in the company's continued UK expansion.
