Job summary

Omega is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician in Witney, Oxfordshire. The role is permanent and onsite, focusing on assembling complex components for the scientific industry with tight tolerances.

You will troubleshoot, contribute to process improvements, and perform quality inspections to ensure product conformity throughout assembly. Welding/soldering skills are desirable, with additional overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ or HNC in Engineering field.
• Previous experience in assembly ideally within a scientific environment.
• Experience working to tight tolerances.
• Welding, Soldering and Fabrication experience (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Assemble complex components and products to tight tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and report technical issues during assembly.
• Quality control and visual inspections throughout assembly.
• Collaborate with the Design/Others to improve products and assembly efficiency.
