Job summary

Sizewell C is offering a Mechanical Engineering Industrial Placement in Bristol. You will work within the CI-BOP team on a 12‑month programme, gaining hands-on experience and mentorship while applying your academic knowledge to real-world engineering challenges.

Expect exposure to design reviews, technical meetings and cross-disciplinary collaboration on a major infrastructure project. You will be studying Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline, develop problem-solving skills,

Qualifications

• :- Studying towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• - Keen to apply engineering principles to real-world challenges.
• - Logical thinker with an analytical approach to problem solving.
• - Comfortable collaborating and communicating across teams.
• - Eager to learn and take responsibility for development.

Responsibilities

• :- Support mechanical engineers with development, review and delivery of engineering solutions.
• - Build understanding of mechanical systems and components used in a major project.
• - Review technical information, drawings, calculations and specifications.
• - Support engineering assurance and ensure quality and safety requirements are met.
• - Collaborate with colleagues across engineering, construction, project management, supply chain and other disciplines.
• - Attend technical meetings and contribute ideas as part of a multidisciplinary team.
