Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in Filton (Bristol) is offering an Engineering Degree Apprenticeship leading to a BEng(Hons) in Mechanical Engineering with Manufacturing. The four-year programme includes placements in Landing Gear Design Office or Test, rotations across engineering departments, and a path to IEng professional status.

Qualifications

• UCAS points requirement: 112 or above.
• 3 A Levels at BBC or higher incl Maths B and Physics/Chemistry C.
• BTEC Extended Diploma in relevant engineering areas with DMM/D.
• Alternative Level qualifications with Merit where applicable.
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade 5/B or better.

Responsibilities

• Undertake placements across Aircraft Architecture and Integration, Design, Simulation, Stress and Fatigue, Systems Installation Safety Analysis, and Certification.
• Engage in projects across Ground and Flight Test, In-Service Support, and Digital topics (coding, AI, data analytics).
• Develop project management, business awareness and leadership skills through cross‑department rotations.

Education

A Levels (BBC or equivalent) including Maths at B or above and Physics or Chemistry at C or above

UCAS points 112+

BTEC Extended Diploma (Engineering/Mechatronics) DMM or D

Levels – Merit in Engineering/Manufacturing preferred
