This is an incredible opportunity to work on a Grade II listed government office building, HM Treasury/HMRC, where your expertise will directly impact the maintenance and operation of essential systems.

About the Role:
As a Mechanical Engineer with a water systems focus, you’ll be responsible for maintaining mechanical systems, including domestic and closed water systems, plumbing, air conditioning, pressure systems, and supporting the team with building fabric and electrical systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems, focusing on plumbing, water systems, and air conditioning.
  • Manage the maintenance and repair of pressure systems.
  • Respond promptly to reactive tasks, diagnosing issues, sourcing parts, and ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Support the engineering team and liaise with subcontractors to ensure work is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Maintain compliance with the Approved Codes of Practice for all work carried out.
  • Ensure safety and quality are always a priority.

What We’re Looking For:

  • L8 qualified (Legionella Management).
  • City & Guilds or equivalent NVQ in Plumbing and Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with building services and mechanical systems in a facilities management environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with various teams.
  • 18th Edition Test & Inspection qualification is desirable.
  • A full clean driving licence.
  • Ability to gain CTC clearance if not already held.

Why Work With Us?

  • Work in a historic and prestigious environment.
  • A competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunities for further training and career development.
  • Be part of a dedicated, collaborative team focused on excellence.

This is an exciting chance to work in a pivotal role within a renowned government building, gaining exposure to both complex systems and an impressive site. If you are a qualified Mechanical Engineer with a water bias and a passion for building services maintenance, we want to hear from you.
