Job summary

Barhale, in partnership with Anglian Water, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to bolster its alliance team. You will contribute to mechanical design across water infrastructure projects, delivering options, calculations and 3D models.

The role emphasizes safety, CDM compliance, and collaboration across supply chain. Open to engineers with solid design experience, aiming to support major water projects including AMP8.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Extensive practical mechanical design experience in a similar environment.
• Proven track record of designing hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Good understanding of modular building and construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and analysis of key mechanical options with clients and stakeholders.
• Design calculations for sizing mechanical, hydraulic, power and building services equipment.
• Liaise with supply chain to assess latest technologies for optioneering.
• Collaborate with the design team to develop 3D models and solutions.
• Oversee outputs for P&IDs and Data sheets; contribute to HAZID/HAZOP and commissioning plans.
• Support safety and CDM compliance in design work.
• Identify opportunities to meet digital, sustainability and people objectives.
