Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a qualified mechanic transitioning into manufacturing in Kettering. The role offers £54,000 - £56,000 per year plus a bonus and an excellent pension.

You’ll join an established manufacturing team to apply hands-on mechanical expertise in a busy maintenance environment. We welcome NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3 / Mechanical Apprenticeship holders with strong fault-finding and repair skills who are keen to develop within manufacturing and contribute to reliability

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3 / Mechanical Apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical knowledge.
• Hands-on repair and maintenance experience.
• Good fault-finding ability.
• Willingness to develop within manufacturing.

Are you an NVQ Level 3 qualified mechanic or mechanical engineer looking to move into manufacturing?

An established manufacturer in Kettering is looking for mechanically skilled engineers who can bring strong hands‑on maintenance and fault-finding experience into its engineering team.

You don't need to already be a Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer. Candidates from automotive, HGV, plant, agricultural, mechanical fitting and forces/REME backgrounds will be considered.

You'll be working on:

• Planned preventative maintenance
• Pumps, motors, conveyors and gearboxes
• Mechanical fault finding and repairs
• Machinery upgrades
• Reliability and continuous improvement projects

You'll need:

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3 / Mechanical Apprenticeship or equivalent
