Job summary

Roc Search Europe Limited is actively seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its Engineering and Product Development team in Lancashire. The role covers design, development, testing and manufacture of mechanical products, including safety-critical equipment for demanding environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical design within manufacturing or safety-critical environments.
• Strong 3D CAD and technical drawing skills.
• Knowledge of GD&T, materials, tolerances and manufacturing processes.
• Practical experience in prototyping and product development.
• Understanding of testing, verification and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with CNC machining, injection moulding, forging or assembly.

Responsibilities

• Design components and assemblies using SolidWorks, Autodesk or equivalent CAD.
• Produce detailed engineering drawings with GD&T, tolerances and manufacturing specifications.
• Develop prototypes, test rigs and fixtures and support verification testing.
• Support DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP and NPI activities.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, including root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Work with customers, suppliers and internal engineering teams to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.
