Roc Search Inc. is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead and own product testing, validation and continuous improvement in a dedicated test facility in Fareham.

You will plan, execute and document tests, troubleshoot issues and drive improvements across test methods, plans and equipment. The role requires a degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, plus experience in lab or product testing environments, strong analytical skills and a disciplined approach to safety and

Qualifications

• A degree, HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Previous experience in a laboratory, product testing or engineering test environment.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and test requirements.
• Experience preparing test documentation, analysing results and producing technical reports.
• A strong understanding of health and safety procedures within a technical environment.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with laboratory management systems.

Responsabilités

• Plan, prepare and execute laboratory and product testing activities, including setting up and operating test rigs and associated equipment.
• Develop and improve test plans, procedures and protocols for new and existing products.
• Analyse test data, produce technical reports and communicate findings, highlighting failures, deviations and opportunities for improvement.
• Support root cause analysis and troubleshooting of technical issues identified during testing.
• Collaborate with design, development and quality teams to interpret results and recommend product improvements.
• Maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy, reliability and safe operation.
• Ensure testing activities comply with relevant health, safety environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Support risk assessments, safe working procedures and technical compliance documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement across test processes, laboratory practices and equipment.
• Promote 5S principles, maintaining a clean, organised and efficient working environment.
• Collaborate with wider engineering teams on product development and validation projects.
