Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Engineer near Preston, offering a salary of £56,000–£66,000 with a rich benefits package. You will support the reliability, safety and compliance of plant equipment, working with operations and maintenance teams to identify improvements and keep assets fit for service throughout their life cycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Knowledge of PSSR, PUWER and LOLER; continuous improvement methods such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation.
• Proven maintenance engineering experience in a complex process manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify, design and deliver maintenance and operational improvements to boost asset performance and OEE.
• Apply SHE standards to daily activities to contain and minimise risk.
• Develop and implement engineering standards to support compliance and risk reduction.
• Oversee design, installation and commissioning of projects within SHE, quality and budget.
• Investigate equipment failures via root-cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
