Job summary

Rivan Industries in London is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own a sub-system, driving ideas from concept to manufacture with a focus on performance, longevity and cost. You will design test rigs, iterate drawings with the fabrication workshop and oversee assembly, integration, and test plans for your area.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years professional experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in mechanical/aero or related field.
• System design experience including CAD (SolidWorks), design for manufacture/assembly, and part specification and procurement.
• Hands on workshop fabrication and build experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the concept generation, architecting and technical requirements of your system.
• Design test-rigs to validate underlying hypothesis quickly and cheaply.
• Own and iterate the design drawings with our fabrication workshop.
• Own the assembly, integration, commissioning and test plans of that sub-system.
• Liaise with external vendors to support our production line.
