Job summary

Cooper Lomaz Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a mechanically biased Site Engineer for a leading Food Manufacturing/FMCG business on a permanent night shift. The role focuses on maintaining and improving equipment reliability in a high-speed production environment, with 4 on/4 off pattern and night hours from 18:00 to 06:00.

The successful candidate will drive preventative maintenance, rapid breakdown response and continuous improvement while upholding stringent food safety and quality

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical maintenance in high-speed production environments.
• Background in Food Manufacturing, FMCG, Packaging, Dairy, or similar sectors.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve reliability of manufacturing and packaging equipment through planned preventative maintenance and rapid breakdown response.
• Carry out continuous improvement activities to maximise plant performance and minimise downtime.
• Ensure all engineering work complies with food safety and quality standards.

Site Engineer (Mechanical Bias Multiskilled) - Food Manufacturing / FMCG

Permanent Night Shift | 4 on / 4 off | 6:00pm - 6:00am

Salary: £53,089 + Overtime (1⅓) + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanically Biased Site Engineer to join a leading Food Manufacturing/FMCG business on a permanent night shift.

Working within a fast-paced, high-volume production environment, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability of manufacturing and packaging equipment through planned preventative maintenance, rapid breakdown response and continuous improvement activities. Your focus will be on maximising plant performance, minimising downtime and ensuring all engineering activities are carried out safely while meeting the highest food safety and quality standards.

This role is ideal for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a background in Food Manufacturing, FMCG, Packaging, Bakery, Dairy, Beverage, Fresh Produce or other high-speed production environments.
