Job summary

Page Personnel in Reading is seeking a Mechanical Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer for a global healthcare technology manufacturer. You will own engineering projects from concept to verification and provide technical support for electro-mechanical product manufacturing.

The role focuses on sustaining engineering, product and process improvements, engineering changes, line transfers, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• HNC, HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in manufacturing or operational engineering roles.
• Knowledge of plastic injection moulding, manual assembly and product test processes.
• Understanding of validation and verification activities for engineering changes.
• Experience using 3D CAD modelling software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for the manufacture of electro-mechanical products and spare parts.
• Lead sustaining engineering projects from initial concept through to implementation and verification.
• Identify and implement product and process improvements within manufacturing operations.
• Support engineering change activities covering both product designs and manufacturing processes.
• Establish, maintain and transfer manufacturing lines, including new production line introductions.
• Manage engineering documentation in accordance with quality management requirements.
• Work cross-functionally to investigate root causes and resolve manufacturing and product issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities focused on operational performance and project effectiveness.

The Successful Applicant

Mechanical Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer, Reading:

• HNC, HND or Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience within manufacturing engineering, sustaining engineering or operational engineering roles
• Knowledge of plastic injection moulding, manual assembly and product test processes - Highly desirable but not essential
• Understanding of validation and verification activities associated with engineering changes
• Experience using 3D CAD modelling software - Highly desirable but no essential
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured and accountable approach
