Job summary

OLIX is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design the mechanical systems and infrastructure at the heart of our next-generation compute platforms. This role spans concept through prototype, qualification and production release, delivering chassis, cooling, rack-scale hardware, and integration with Electronics, Optical, FPGA, Systems, Software, Manufacturing and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with electromechanical products throughout full lifecycle.
• Strong CAD, GD&T knowledge and tolerance analysis.
• Familiarity with rack-level data centre infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for high-performance compute platforms and infrastructure.
• Own mechanical architecture from concept through production release and lifecycle support.
• Develop thermal management, cooling strategies and serviceability considerations.
• Create detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs and technical documentation.
• Design components for sheet metal, CNC machining, casting, molding, extrusion and additive manufacturing.
