Job summary

RSP Consulting Engineers - Part of Drees & Sommer in Glasgow seeks a Mechanical Engineer to develop mechanical services design under a project leader. You may work independently or with a wider team, reporting to senior staff, and will communicate with clients and design team members at meetings.

Responsibilities include preparing calculations for M&E building installations, managing workload, supporting technicians, and producing concepts, engineering solutions, reports and specifications.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering preferred; working towards CIBSE membership.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical services.
• Valid UK Driving Licence.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and occasional overnight stays.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with mechanical services design on a varying range of projects.
• Good and confident communication skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant industry design software (i.e. NBS, IES, Bentley Hevacomp or similar).
• AutoCAD and Revit Experience.

Requirements

• Preferably working towards being or Degree qualified and working towards CIBSE membership.
• 5 years + relevant experience.
• Valid UK Driving Licence.
• Willingness to do overtime, when and if required.
• Must be prepared to travel within the UK. This may involve early morning starts, late finishes and occasionally overnight stays.
